In case you were wondering what's happening in the world of Japanese comedy now that Yoshio Kojima has disappeared off the face of the earth, behold! Japan's latest comedy sensation: Edo Harumi. Apparently she used to be a flight attendant trainer who decided to become a stand up comedian. As far as I can tell, her routine consists of ending every English word that ends with ing with a long drawn out GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD and giving the thumbs up. Whether this is some kind of super Neil Hamburger-esque meta comedy or just another example of why I'll never understand Japanese TV remains to be seen (Sally thinks she's funny, which clearly demonstrates that she's been in Japan too long). Anyway, judge for yourself.
