Perfect Sounds Forever

Thanks to a bit of good luck and an early finish time on Mondays, I was able to follow the trail of moppy haircuts to club upset and see Deerhoof play. I have previously railed against the ridiculously early start time of gigs in Japan, but I guess in a way it's nice not to have to wait around until one in the morning for the headline act to start, particularly if it's someone that I have no great love for.

It was a pretty good gig (also featuring Xiu Xiu, tenniscoats, and Shugo Tokumaru) and I was quite impressed with Deerhoof. Also, it was nice to see someone whose Japanese ability is almost a perfect match for my own. So thanks for that, Greg Saunier.
